Orthopaedics deals with the body’s “musculoskeletal system”. This includes the bones, joints and muscles, as well as tendons, ligaments and nerves, and any structure related to them.

Pedorthics is the design, manufacture, modification and fit of footwear, including foot orthosis used to alleviate foot problems caused by disease, overuse, congenital defect or injury.

Relying on the doctor’s diagnosis, along with the technician’s ability to provide, fit and maintain the prescribed device and the patient’s willingness to use it properly, can make a profound difference in the quality of an individual’s daily life. However, it is important to note that we cannot diagnose a condition. Diagnosis is the responsibility of the referring physician. Prescriptions are written by a medical doctor who has assessed and diagnosed and has decided on a treatment plan that includes referring the patient to a facility such as Body ‘N’ Sole.
